Residents in the area were on edge this morning, especially those who were dropping off their kids at the school across the road from the shooting. They expressed their concern to our Celine Moreau.
Gloucester Township Police Crime Stoppers: On Sunday 12/18/11 at approximately 0839 hrs, gym equipment was stolen from outside Highland High School. The equipment was older and worn (Icarian, Nautilus, Ibex, and Hammer Strength). The equipment was placed close to the building so it would not be mistaken for garbage with plans to scrap the equipment to offset the new equipment cost. Video surveillance was obtained and showed two males, unknown race, exit an older model, two-toned possible GMC pickup, and proceed to load the equipment into the truck and leave the area. The suspects made three trips (0839-0926 hrs; 1011-1035 hrs; 1121-1131 hrs) and removed all the equipment from the school grounds. The video shows the suspect vehicle driving to and from the school from the direction of the Blackwood-Clementon and Erial Road intersection. The vehicle is believed to be a late 1980s GMC pick-up with two tone paint. The paint on the hood appears to be faded. 12/16/11 | A high school English teacher is accused of violently stabbing a fellow teacher with a screwdriver on Thursday after a disagreement over a meeting, sending her to the hospital and causing a brief lockdown at the school. Police said Cynthia Glozier, 54, also an English teacher at Poughkeepsie High School, was stabbed 16 times by Ronette Ricketts, 40.
