2 year sentence for drug counselor

Milwaukee, Wisconsin   –  A drug counselor was sentenced to 2 years behind bars for sexually assaulting a client at United Community Center Latinas Unidas.  

Armando Orozco, 48, will serve 2 years in prision and upon release he will be on 3 years of extended supervision.  Orozco pleaded guilty to second-degree sexual assault.

Orozco worked as a caregiver at the community center which serves Hispanic women with alcohol and drug use problems.  The victim stated that Orozco took her on a series of work-related errands and later to his home where he sexually assaulted her.  Afterwards, she became pregnant and DNA tests revealed that Orozco was the father.

Among residential treatment services, the UCC offers support services including: mental health and family therapy, parenting, yoga and spirituality classes, and art therapy.
